Yes! I am alive and wow, there has been so much that has occurred since my last post!

First off, I want to wish a happy (belated) full moon to all of y’all. Thanks for reading, following, subscribing and for all the messages (sent via email, phone & various social networks), keep ’em coming–I Love hearing from each of you.

Now, time for a past due MRDLA update:

I’ve been working closely with LA-Artist.com, collecting submissions for the 2013 LA-Artist Artbook, and reviewing the artcards that already been sent in this year. Hands down there are some amazing submissions, and we are still reviewing the first hundred. I am looking forward to seeing what else will be coming in.
To read more about the submission process, please read LA-Artist.com’s news feed. http://la-artist.com/news/

On a personal note, I will be heading back into the studio tomorrow to finish up the audio tracks for my book “Earthikana Soultonix: Urbanite Folk Songs Written On Chalk Stain’d Concrete.” When I first envisioned what my book would be like, I knew that there would be several aspects to it– the visual and the audio. Hence, when I recorded and assembled Earthikana Soultonix: Urbanite Folk Songs Sung On Chalk Stain’d Concrete, I knew that I was on the right track. While the songs have taken on a life of their own (more than 2000 plays via Vimeo & #3 on Reverbnation’s Spoken Word [Sylmar] Charts), I recognized that I also wanted a straight reading of the poetry & lettres that appeared in the book. Sooo, that said, be on the look out for the Earthikana Soultonix, audio book.

CALENDAR FLYERSpeaking about projects that are on the horizon, The Children of The Matrix Art Collective, are on the verge of releasing their 2014 Calendar. The full color calendar is 11X17 inches and contains images from the achieves and private collections of Alex Zoloshiva Garcia & yours truly. This project was definitely a heck of a good time, and I was so glad to work alongside Alex again, we hadn’t done anything collaboratively since the design of my Earthikana Soultonix book cover– minus a few photo shoots, some sporadic recordings, and the occasional beat box session. In any case, the COTM 12 month calendar is set to be released on December 1st and will be available for shipping just in time for the holiday season.

Also available on December 1st will be Molina’s Antique Catalogue, which will be available as a downloadable PDF on this MRDLA as well as Molina’s own wordpress page.

Helping fellow artist Alejandro Molina realize his vision of a catalogue that was accessible to a wide audience was definitely a joy and I am glad to be working alongside him.

You can check out Molina’s Antiques at space 134 during this Sunday’s Topanga Vintage Market– held at Pierce College.

Lastly, local band SKULROT will be playing this Saturday evening, be sure to check out their Reverbnation and Facebook pages for more updates.SKULROT

Well that’s it for the moment. I am off to ride like the wind and to check out Graffiteria LA’s new truck. No doubt about it, this has been an exciting week. I will be sure to upload some photos from El Cariso’s Community Garden via my Flickr account this week. The seeds of change have been planted and well what better time than now to do so. I Love you all
