For one’s craft is what pushes us forward. Finding out what we love, ah, that is one of the many purposes of life. The key thing to remember is that Love can be found in everything– from bicycling, to being a father. The question is not how can one Love something over another thing, no. The question is “how can I be Love, and be Loving” in a given situation. This is where the maxim “know thyself” (Socrates) and Joseph Campbell’s words “follow your bliss” start echoing off in the back off my head– short followed by Gandhi’s misquoted suggestion, “Be the change you want to see in the world.” So what am I getting at?  Simple, humble yourself and take a breath to appreciate everything that you are doing in life.

That’s it, that’s all I have for today.

The Northeast Los Angels Art Walk (Second Saturdays of the month)
